Program 2018

The Kerikeri Adventure Film Festival will be screening five exciting, adrenaline-filled films back to back :

Give Me Five | (11 mins) Director: Arnaud Longobardi, France, subtitles.

The film is the story behind an attempt at formation flight between a speed-wing and two wingsuits pilots.

Waiau-toa Odyssey | (13 mins) Director: Simon Waterhouse, NZ.

Five adventurers set off on a six-day, 300km unsupported journey. By combining new bike-packing and pack-rafting technology, they link together whitewater rivers and backcountry tracks through some of NZ’s under-appreciated wilderness areas.

Into Twin Galaxies – A Greenland Epic | (52 mins) Director: Jochen Schmoll, Germany.

Three adventurers embark on an insane kayaking mission in Greenland. With kite skis, they tow their whitewater kayaks over 1000 kilometres of the Greenland Ice Cap to reach the most northern river ever paddled.

Mountains of Heaven – 23 mins, Director: Jenny Tough, Scotland.

Solo adventurer and endurance runner Jenny Tough attempts to run across Kyrgyzstan, carrying everything she needs to survive on her back and using ancient nomad trails carved into the imposing Tien Shan mountains.
